What is Mystery Word?

Mystery Word is a multilingual word puzzle game currently being developed by EacTech. Players connect letters on the screen to discover hidden words, completing each level and moving on to the next as the puzzles become more challenging.

The idea behind Mystery Word is that a good word game should feel native in every language it supports. Instead of building levels in one language and translating the menus, each language is planned to have its own word lists and levels, so players get puzzles that match the vocabulary and letter patterns of the language they play in.

Mystery Word is one of four products in the EacTech portfolio. It is in development and is not yet available to download.

Who is it for?

Mystery Word is designed for people who enjoy words and want a puzzle that fits into everyday moments, in the language they prefer.

  • Word game fans

Players who enjoy finding words, spotting patterns in letters and working through a long path of levels.

  • Vocabulary builders

People who like to practice vocabulary in a relaxed way, including in a language they are learning.

  • Multilingual players

People who speak more than one language and want word puzzles that work properly in each of them.

  • Short-break players

Anyone looking for a quick, calm puzzle on a commute or between tasks, with or without a connection.

What problem does it solve?

Many word puzzle games are designed in one language first and adapted later. Letter sets, word lengths and difficulty curves built for one language often feel wrong in another, and translated versions can end up with awkward vocabulary or puzzles that are too easy or too hard.

Word games are also natural to play in places without a reliable connection, yet some stop working offline. Mystery Word aims to address both problems by building word lists per language from the start and by designing levels to be stored and played on the device.

Core product concept

Mystery Word is organized around four ideas that cover a single level and the longer journey through the game.

  • Connect

Trace a path through the available letters to form a word. The input is meant to feel quick, precise and forgiving.

  • Discover

Find every hidden word in a level. Each discovery fills in part of the puzzle and narrows what is left.

  • Progress

Move through levels and themed challenges that introduce more letters and longer words step by step.

  • Play in your language

Choose a language and play levels built from that language’s own word lists, online or offline.

Scope

Planned features

The core features below define Mystery Word's intended scope. They are being built now and may change before release.

  • Connect letters

Swipe across a set of letters to form a word. Letters connect in the order you trace them, and a word is checked as soon as you lift your finger.

  • Discover words

Each level hides a set of words that can be made from its letters. Finding them all completes the level.

  • Level progression

A path of levels to work through, with progress saved so players can always pick up where they stopped.

  • Increasing difficulty

Levels are designed to introduce more letters, longer words and less common vocabulary gradually, so the challenge grows with the player.

  • Themed challenges

Sets of levels built around a topic, where the hidden words share a theme, as a change of pace from the main path.

  • Offline play

Levels and word lists are designed to be stored on the device, so the game can be played without a network connection.

  • Multilingual content

Each supported language is planned to have its own word lists and levels, not just a translated interface.

  • Clean, readable board

Large letters, clear word slots and a simple layout designed to stay comfortable to read during longer sessions.

Later areas of exploration

Not committed. These areas are being considered for after the core experience is complete.

  • Hints

Optional help for a stuck level, such as revealing a single letter, designed so the puzzle stays the player’s to solve.

  • Daily puzzles

A new level each day, offered alongside the main progression path.

  • Word definitions

Short meanings for discovered words, for players who want to learn as they play.

  • Additional languages

Adding further languages over time, each with word lists built and reviewed for that language.

  • Accessibility options

Settings such as larger text and high-contrast letters to keep the board readable for more players.

Development philosophy

Language-native content. Every supported language is treated as its own game, with word lists and levels designed for it. Translation is used for the interface, not as a substitute for real content.

A steady challenge curve. Difficulty should rise gradually and predictably, so players feel stretched without hitting sudden walls.

Works anywhere. The core game is designed to run on the device, so levels can be played without a network connection.

Fair puzzles. Hidden words are meant to be real, recognizable words for the language, so solving a level depends on vocabulary and attention rather than guessing obscure entries.

These principles are shared across all EacTech products. Read more about EacTech's approach to product development or the Build Note on Building Multilingual Apps From the Start.

Is Mystery Word available yet?

No. Mystery Word is in development and is not yet available to download. There is no public beta at this time. Official store links will be published on the Mystery Word page at eactech.online when the game is released.

How does Mystery Word work?

Each level of Mystery Word shows a set of letters and a number of hidden words. Players swipe across the letters to form words, and each correct word fills in part of the puzzle. Finding all the hidden words completes the level, and later levels are designed to use more letters and longer words.

Will Mystery Word support multiple languages?

Yes. Mystery Word is being built to support multiple languages, each with its own word lists and levels rather than a translated interface alone. Launch languages will be confirmed on the Mystery Word product page when the game is released.
